I wish to express my profound gratitude for Christian Science, and to enumerate some of the many blessings I have received through the application of divine Principle. My first healing in Christian Science occurred some twenty-two years ago. I was suffering from quinsy and seemed to be growing steadily worse. My mother was young in Science and was fearful that my breathing would soon be cut off. She called the practitioner who had my case, and whatever he said to her destroyed her fear, and my healing quickly followed. Through the years which have followed I have had many added proofs of the efficacy of Christian Science, which never fails when properly applied.
I have been healed of food poisoning; and the experience proved to me that when Truth heals, convalescence is unnecessary. At the time I was found in an unconscious condition in the corridor of the dormitory where I was living. All that day I was quite helpless, but had the loving help of a Christian Science practitioner who was called and who came to see me. The next day I attended a basketball tournament where, because of the crowds, I had to stand through the periods of the games to see the players. This surely was proof positive that I was healed.
A few years ago I was healed in two days of what I suppose would be called influenza. A diseased condition of one of my ears, a trouble which was considered hereditary, was overcome. This condition reappeared in a milder form some time later, but was dispelled with the understanding that God's creation is finished, complete. An infection caused by running a wire hairpin deeply into the scalp was quickly overcome, although it had appeared in three other places on my head before I awakened and realized the unreality of the manifestation. I have had many other healings in Christian Science, and have witnessed many more.
