I am indeed grateful for the many blessings Christian Science has brought me, and is bringing me every day.
It is over nine years since I was healed of a so-called incurable disease for which I had been operated upon nine times, with no permanent improvement. I was very miserable, as the pain was severe. I could think of nothing but the suffering, consequently was very disagreeable and unloving. In this condition I was advised to visit a Christian Science practitioner. I did so, and was told that I could be healed; but I did not understand how it was possible as my distress was so great. The practitioner told me to read the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. This I decided to do, although I never had cared much for reading. I went home and afterwards secured the book and began to read. At first I did not understand anything I read; but I kept on reading and trying to understand, and soon became interested. With the interest came the determination to have treatment, and I was willing to leave my problems to Christian Science.
On my way home after my first treatment I saw the meaning of "a new heaven and a new earth" which John speaks of in Revelation, and such a beautiful vision of what Spirit is filled my consciousness that I was healed then and there. Since my healing I have been gaining a better understanding of my birthright as a child of God and experiencing the truth of the lines of a hymn,
