Among so many I too cannot refrain from expressing my gratitude for the wonderful experiences which I, as well as my wife and child, have had in Christian Science.
As a consequence of the war, in which I did active service, I suffered from pains in the right side of my chest. These continued to get worse until gradually they had become so severe that I could hardly sleep at night. The doctors did not say what the trouble was, but in answer to a straightforward question in the spring of 1926, one of them said that I should continue to have this pricking pain as long as I lived. Toward the close of 1926, when I was suffering from a large abscess on my neck, which caused me a great deal of trouble, I heard of Christian Science and its healings for the first time.
As my wife had been suffering for fifteen years from stomach and eye troubles, which no doctor had been able to cure, we turned unhesitatingly to a Christian Science practitioner, who received my letter very kindly and worked for us very lovingly.
