Testimonies of Healing

From the March 1930 issue of The Christian Science Journal

To Christian Science I owe my health and happiness. Many beautiful and some instantaneous physical healings, of burns, headaches, toothache, sore throat, sprains, heart trouble, fear of stomach trouble, hysterical nervousness, and functional disorders, have blessed me. The understanding of the ever present help of God as revealed in Christian Science has met varied needs of supply with abundant, restorative truth. Birds, flowers, trees, and pets have felt the healing touch of the Christ, Truth. Surely, as our dear Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, tells us in our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 13), "Love is impartial and universal in its adaptation and bestowals."

I am most grateful for the hourly purification of thought, word, and deed which the daily study and application of the Bible and the Christian Science literature brings. It is my earnest desire to reflect more of Love's healing presence and to see more clearly the Christ-idea in my neighbor. What I cannot do now, I thank God for the desire to do, and know that He will bless that desire and bring it to fruitage. For the authorized literature; for the healing activities of all loyal hearts serving in every channel of work in our Cause; for membership in The Mother Church and a branch church; and for the opportunity to study and serve, thus learning to be "the humble servant of the restful Mind" (ibid., p. 119) and growing in truth, I express my deep gratitude.—
