Sixteen years ago I was suffering from heart disease and lung trouble. It seemed to all concerned then that I should go to Colorado, where there was a possibility of my living a year at the most. At this point Christian Science was presented to me as a possible healing agent, and with great doubt and curiosity I went to a Wednesday evening meeting, where I heard a young man testify of having been recently healed of lung disease.
This spurred me on to the study of the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, and of the Bible, which then became a fountain of liv ing water and of complete health to me. I stand a living example of what Christian Science has done, is doing, and will do for those who seek it with sincerity. What I am most grateful for, however, is that not only does it heal, but it must be proved to be practical by one's self, and then one must prove one's unselfishness by healing those who come to one seeking the Christ, Truth. Through my healing experience has come the understanding of what Jesus meant when he said, "Before Abraham was, I am." It has proved to me that the Christ is ever operative, and that we need only try in the least and the Father's reward will be great.
