I came to Christian Science for physical healing. Thirteen years ago I was very weak and nervous, following an operation for stomach trouble. Although different treatments and many kinds of medicine were tried, nothing helped me. After two years of suffering I became discouraged with material remedies. While in this condition I was asked by a lady to read some Christian Science literature. This lady was not a student of Christian Science, but had witnessed the healing of her sister. I read the literature, and later I read "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. I began to get stronger and have less fear. Through continued reading and studying of Science and Health I was completely healed.
Many blessings have been mine since then. Headaches, colds, burns, constipation, and many other discordant conditions have been overcome. One Sunday morning at the close of the church service I was taken suddenly ill and was not able to leave the pew where I was sitting. Help was asked for, and in a few minutes I was better and in half an hour able to walk home alone.
I am grateful for the healing and protecting power of Truth and Love, for the faithful and loving practitioners who have helped me in time of trouble and sorrow, and for all the literature.— Hampstead, Maryland.
