Christian Science has come to my aid so many times during the past eight years and means so much to me now that I feel I should like to express publicly my deep appreciation. Eight years ago, at the time of the birth of my daughter, I was taken to the hospital for a Cæsarean operation, which three physicians deemed necessary. The fourth day following pneumonia developed, and I became so very ill that it was doubtful whether I would live. I could scarcely breathe, and sank into an unconscious state no matter how I struggled against it. However, I was able to request that Christian Science help be secured for me, as I had had one experience several years before and knew of its wonderful healing power. This was done, and very soon a change for the better was felt. It was as though something very bright and beautiful was drawing me up out of the darkness against which I had been fighting so desperately, and a most wonderful sense of peace and joy and well-being came to me even before I regained consciousness. The following morning my temperature was normal, I could breathe easily, and the verdict was that I would live. Thus I feel that I owe my life to Christian Science.
Since then Christian Science has brought me many physical healings: constipation, colds, grippe, and an intestinal disorder, which before had given me much distress, disappeared when the word of Truth was spoken. It has freed me from the bondage of the medicine habit, for which I am most grateful. In my immediate family I have witnessed instantaneous healings of severe nosebleed, earache, and toothache.
I am especially grateful for the following to me most beautiful demonstration of then power of God's law of infinite good. When our second baby was born, I had the help of a practitioner, and while to material sense the same conditions existed as before, no Cæsarean operation was necessary; the birth was quite normal, very quick, and to me very wonderful. Once more it was proved to me that, no matter what the seeming difficulty may be, when I can turn radically and completely to God for my help and guidance, then all sense of there being a difficulty instantly disappears. For the many blessings which I have received through Christian Science I am most grateful.—Binghamton, New York.
