I wish to tell of my healing in Christian Science, to prove that Christian Science healing is permanent: I was saved from a condition of total blindness thirty-four years ago, after one of the most noted oculists in the world at that time said I would be totally blind for life. My father had spent large sums of money on my eyes, to no avail. I began having Christian Science treatment without any faith in it, and only as a last resort, for I had been reared very carefully in an orthodox church and by loving parents, and I argued that if the prayers of my church and my parents did not heal me, how could Christian Science heal me? But in three months Christian Science did for me what medical science had failed to do in twenty years: it healed my blind eyes ; for just as the beautiful spiritual truth, as taught in Christian Science, dawned in my consciousness, the physical light came to my eyes. During all these thirty-four years I have never worn glasses, used a material remedy, or visited an oculist, physician, or surgeon, and my eyes are entirely normal. I use them constantly in reading and studying the Bible, all of Mary Baker Eddy's works, and all the authorized Christian Science literature.
I can most assuredly say my healing is permanent, for it has stood the test of all these years; and this is why I do so love our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science.— Los Angeles, California.
