I am very grateful to acknowledge the healing efficacy of Christian Science as related in the above testimony. I can truthfully indorse all that my wife has said about the healing of what seemed to be a fatal illness. I shall always appreciate the interest of the friend who would not believe the physical sense testimony that was causing my family and me grave concern, and who prevailed upon me to seek help in Christian Science.
The first visit to a practitioner was one of curiosity and skepticism, mingled with a faint hope that all my friend had said about Christian Science healing would prove true. But all doubt vanished and hope became a certainty when these cheering words were uttered with such confidence: "God is Love, and Love never afflicteth." From that moment my viewpoint on life changed. In the words of Paul, I was "transformed by the renewing of [my] mind." In a comparatively short time I was completely healed and resumed my position in the business world, another living witness to the healing power of Truth.
Our periodicals are angel-messengers going out into the world, giving comfort and healing to thousands. I am especially grateful to The Christian Science Board of Directors of The Mother Church for their untiring and prayerful efforts to keep these periodicals "ably edited" and "abreast of the times" (Church Manual, Art. VIII, Sect. 14).
