For some time I have felt that I should share more fully the joy that Christian Science has brought to me.
About ten years ago, through reading "Miscellaneous Writings" and our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, I was healed of a weariness of mind and body that threatened at times to be more than I could bear. With some slight comprehension of the term "reflection" as elucidated by Mrs. Eddy in her writings I began immediately to improve; and finally I found myself going to bed feeling rested and getting up rested, something I had never done before.
There have been many other healings. Seven years ago I was healed of influenza, which lasted from eight o'clock in the evening until six o'clock in the morning. By the time I was dressed I was perfectly well and able to do all that was required during the day. I was also healed of a broken kneecap the same year. My husband helped me to a couch; and after I had realized the truth for a few minutes the pain left, and I was able to continue preparing for the company which was coming for supper and to spend the night and next day with us. The next day we walked about three miles, and I remained free from any discomfort although it was almost two weeks before the pieces of bone were knit together. There was the evidence of a splinter of bone almost breaking the skin; yet without any material aid it was healed. Knowing the truth, as taught in Christian Science, about any erroneous condition has proved more efficacious than any material remedy that I have ever seen tried.
