I have longed to express my gratitude for all the blessings I have experienced through the study of Christian Science. After medical science had failed to effect a healing, through the advice of a physician I took up the study of Christian Science and was healed of what were diagnosed as ulcers of the stomach.
Some time ago I discovered a growth on my body. Remembering the discomfort which my mother had experienced from a similar trouble, I was worried for some time; but as I turned absolutely to our Father-Mother God, realizing that since there is only one Mind, God, good, there can be no false belief or believer, this condition soon vanished into its native nothingness.
In October, 1930, I fell, dislocating both my ankles and cracking a small bone in my right leg, just above the ankle. This occurred on a Wednesday, about noon. I was serving as substitute Reader at the time, and felt it was too late to ask another to read in my place. Then, realizing that all God's ideas are always in their right places, regardless of any mortal mind argument, since, as Mrs. Eddy tells us in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 424), "Accidents are unknown to God," I was enabled to walk up and down stairs, dress for church without assistance, and, after riding to church, stand without any pain whatever during the time required for the reading from the desk. While the ankles remained swollen and discolored for several weeks, I was able to walk every day, and in five weeks was driving my car.
