In Proverbs we read, "How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? when wilt thou arise out of thy sleep?" When Christian Science was first mentioned to me by my wife I would not listen. But after a while I began to read some from the Bible and "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. I did this to please my wife, not for any special healing, although I needed to be healed of many things.
After reading only a short time a pain I had had in my shoulder for over twenty years vanished, never to return. It had been gone a week before I noticed its disappearance. I was also healed of constipation which I had had for many years. For both these difficulties I had tried many internal and external remedies without any permanent relief.
When these healings took place I began to think about Christian Science in a very different way, and to realize that this is the same healing truth which Christ Jesus taught and practiced and commanded his disciples and followers all through the ages to commemorate. From the time I began to study our Lesson-Sermons in the Christian Science Quarterly, and the other Christian Science literature, I have experienced many healings and enjoyed wonderful protection to my health, home, and business.
