I feel that I must send in my testimony to show, like others, my appreciation of all that Christian Science has done for me.
About three years ago I was healed of a very peculiar form of fits from which I had suffered for over three years. Sometimes they were overcome by my own understanding of Christian Science; at other times help was asked for from a practitioner. This was lovingly given, and relief was almost instantaneous. The one outstanding feature for which I feel most grateful is the protection I received during this experience. I was liable to fall down anywhere, and sometimes I fell in very awkward places; but I can truthfully say that, although my weight is about one hundred and ninety-six pounds, I was never once bruised or hurt in any way.
I have been healed of many minor ailments, both physical and mental, for which I am most grateful. I am also grateful for the Lesson-Sermons in the Christian Science Quarterly, which are a staff to lean upon, especially at this time of so-called depression and unemployment. Mrs. Eddy says in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 252): "Material sense lifts its voice with the arrogance of reality and says: . . . The world is my kingdom. I am enthroned in the gorgeousness of matter." This is what material sense is saying today in the form of this depression. During this time Christian Science has saved me from worry and anxiety and has given me peace and joy and happiness.
