More than forty years ago Christian Science came into my childhood home through the healing of my mother of Bright's disease in its last stage. As a result of this healing my father, my mother, and their eight children took up the study of this Science.
Through the application of Christian Science I have seen scarlet fever, measles, whooping cough, smallpox, lobular fever, and dropsy cured, and broken bones—which were set without the aid of a surgeon—healed.
Our eldest daughter was struck on the head in an accident and was unconscious for a week. As soon as relatives were notified and treatment was begun, she became conscious and was brought home. Then it was discovered that she had a blood clot on the brain; she could neither walk, see, taste, nor smell. All these conditions were corrected by Christian Science treatment. The second daughter had her right arm broken, about an inch and a half above the wrist. It was set and healed through the declaration of the truth; in four days she was using her arm.
