Christian Science has so entirely changed my life that I desire to add my testimony of gratitude for its healing and regenerating power.
From childhood I had been delicate, and later developed an organic trouble of which the attention of eleven doctors and two London specialists, and a surgical operation, failed to relieve me. When I was in this condition, taking medicine three and four times a day, Christian Science was presented to me by a lady who came to visit the Old World town in which I lived. All medicine was thrown away, and as the truth contained in Science and Health unfolded to my consciousness, the erroneous condition began to yield, and I became healthier and stronger than ever before.
Since then the way has opened for me to take up a career involving hard work and continuous study, in which Christian Science has helped and sustained me. I received sufficient supply to enable me to take examinations for further advancement in my profession; and I became self-supporting and able to maintain my own home in London. It is impossible to express the gratitude I felt during this period for the directing power of God and for the understanding of Him as Principle and Mind.
