As an expression of gratitude for Christian Science and its many beneficent activities I send this testimony. I have always enjoyed what would be considered a peaceful home, but since Christian Science has been used in governing it, peace and harmony have been experienced, in spite of most severe trials. Since 1909 I have had many healing, and I always enjoy the church services. The instantaneous healing of quinsy has remained an inspiration. Other healing include those of chilblains, burns, injuries, severe colds, and nervous shock from accident; and there has been a great improvement in character and disposition.
Three healing compelled me to study and apply what I gained in understanding. One was of what would be considered a nervous breakdown, entailing about three years of faithful application of the truth, which fairly made me over. The second was the healing of the effects of ivy poisoning. Except for my face and hands, my body was completely covered, but this was overcome in less than a week. On the sixth day I knew I was healed, though the physical manifestation was the same. This was an inspiring experience. In a few days all signs had disappeared. The third was the healing of a carbuncle on my husband's neck. This was a complete and permanent healing in about two weeks. In times of sorrow Christian Science has uplifted me, and enabled me to forget self and serve those around me.
During the last five years I have begun to appreciate my membership in The Mother Church, although the privilege of that membership has been mine for almost twenty years. Our literature and Hymnal are constant helps along the way. For the love and patience shown me by practitioners I am most grateful.— Los Angeles, California.
