I wish to express my gratitude to God for His wonderful gift to men— Christian Science. I have enjoyed the benefits of Mrs. Eddy's discovery since childhood. My parents began the study of this Science twenty-five five years ago; consequently, I had the privilege of attending Sunday school. After the Sunday school era, my church attendance and daily study of the Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly continued regularly. Throughout these early years of my study I enjoyed very good health, and when erroneous beliefs presented themselves they were quickly overcome.
After my marriage, my husband became interested in Christian Science, and we have had many beautiful proofs of the healing power of Truth. We are both members of The Mother Church and of a branch church. We have also had the great privilege of class instruction. I feel that my real growth has come since class instruction, because, since that event, I understand more clearly man's relationship to God. I am very grateful for this enlightenment because it has meant much to me in my daily living, and in the rearing of our little boy.
The child has experienced many healings. They include the overcoming of influenza, chicken pox, measles, and whooping cough. In most of these experiences I had the help of a consecrated practitioner because, being employed in an office, I was unable to give my undivided thought to the handling of conditions. Recently, the child awoke in the morning complaining and fearful. The most alarming symptoms appeared on his body. I gave him a treatment which calmed him, and went on to my work. When I returned home that afternoon, however, he seemed much worse. I then asked the practitioner for help, and by the next morning the child was entirely well and went joyously to Sunday school. Small wonder we are grateful to those who devote their lives to the work of healing through Christian Science! No matter at what hour we may call, their understanding of Truth and their loving words of encouragement are available.
