Ever since my twentieth year I had suffered from heart trouble and had been under medical treatment. Then, when the war broke out and we had to give up everything in order to go from Russia to my husband's home in Germany, my suffering grew considerably worse. Although I heard of Christian Science at that time, at my husband's urging I again had recourse to medical treatment. During the week I was examined by three doctors, who unanimously diagnosed the case as severe heart trouble. I was allowed to move but very little and had to give up the walks of which I had become so fond. As my condition continued to grow worse, I turned in my distress to a kind friend, who advised me to have Christian Science treatment, and to this I agreed. I then asked a Christian Science practitioner for help. The result was that I was freed of my suffering in two treatments. I could again take up my household duties and go for long trips. This healing took place in 1921, and there have been no difficulties of any sort since. A later examination by a specialist, which I had at the wish of my husband, showed, and this was established by an X-ray picture, that my heart was entirely normal.
I thank Christian Science for this wonderful healing. Also I think with great reverence of our dear Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, through whom mankind is being unspeakably blessed daily. —(Mrs.) Berlin-Charlottenburg, Germany.
