Go forth unto the sowing
With courage in your heart,
The Lord will walk before you,
His wisdom to impart.
He'll set His cloud above you
When garish grows the day,
And when the darkness gathers,
His fire will light the way.
He'll feed you in the wilderness,
The rock will be your fount,
And you shall rest within His law,
Beside the holy mount.
Then go ye forth with courage,
With steady heart and hand,
And sow the healing gospel
Across a weary land.
And God will guard the harvest.
Which truly will be great,
If you but sow with patience,
And with rejoicing wait.
