"COME THOU INTO THE ARK"

From the August 1941 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Come, weary hearts, and fearful hearts,
And hearts bowed low with sin,
The ark of God awaiteth you—
Love bids you enter in.

Here is no sound of earthly woe,
Nor war's unholy din.
Here is the peace of God's dear love.
Come thou and enter in!

Here see what Spirit hath prepared
For those who seek its ways;
Here find the life that's true and good
And taste of joy-filled days!

Here man may greet his brother man
With pure desire to give;
Here wends the path of unselfed love—
To tread it is to live!

Here you will find your Father's arms,
Enfolding one and all,
And you will feel His angels near
While listening for His call.

And as you pray, "Thy will be done,"
And learn His will is good,
Envision here the things unseen,
As heaven is understood.

For heaven, which men have deemed far off,
Is here for all to win.
The ark presenteth man's dear home—
Come thou and enter in!
