In the past twenty years we, a family of four, have had many proofs of the healing efficacy of Christian Science.
This Science came to me at an early age, and I accepted it unreservedly. At the very beginning I had a desire to go deep into the study of it. The first year I read through "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy several times, together with her other writings. All the questions common to most people regarding religion and the Bible were answered to my complete satisfaction. After two years of daily study and practice of Christian Science I experienced one of the student's greatest blessings, that of class instruction. I shall always be grateful for having had this privilege from one of Mrs. Eddy's loyal students. The truth grasped at that time has been an anchor through trials of every name and nature during all these years.
One of my first healings was of influenza, at the time of a so-called epidemic. My next, and to me most remarkable, healing was of infected eyes. This was not a quick healing, but stretched over a period of several weeks, during which time my eyes discharged continuously, but after securing the help of a practitioner I experienced no pain. When my eyes cleared, my vision was as strong as ever. During those weeks nothing was applied even to cleanse my eyes, aside from hot water. This was over twenty years ago, and I have never worn glasses or had any further difficulty with my eyes. I have also been healed of abscesses through Christian Science treatment, and had no pain. Before turning to Christian Science I had several abscesses from which I suffered excruciating pain for two weeks before they were ready for lancing.
