In a recent number of the Christian Science Sentinel, there appeared in the "Signs of the Times" an excerpt from the British Weekly, London, England, by the Rev. James Reid, D.D., which read in part as follows: "To be bombed out of home, to lose one's business, to be scattered among strangers—that is the lot of many. It is not pleasant. It cannot, however, be more terrifying than the empty air is to the eaglet when he is flung into it. He does not realize till the rush of the wind meets him how it can stimulate him, and how there is something in it that can bear him up and make him feel his wings."
The teaching of Christian Science has awakened men everywhere to the miracle that is in our midst, to the fact that man has been given dominion "over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth." This revelation of the power of Truth brings immediate courage in the midst of fear, and confidence in Love's protecting power.
How infinite are the opportunities to prove this, when suggestions of sin, fear, disease, poverty, death, try to dismay us; to rise above the belief in their reality into the clear realm of Mind, and from the height of consecrated worship of God, good, to use our God-given dominion that all such falsities may dissolve into thin air!
