Twenty years ago I was suffering from a nervous breakdown, and had taken drugs for insomnia for four years. The first time that I read a few pages from the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, I fell asleep and enjoyed a natural sleep until the morning. That was the beginning of a useful, happy, healthy life for me.
Two children have been born since I started the study of Christian Science, and they have had the privilege of attending the Christian Science Sunday School. Some years ago the boy broke his right arm, and at his own request had treatment from a Christian Science practitioner. Without any material aid he was healed, and was able to write examination papers three weeks later.
I am very grateful to Mrs. Eddy for revealing the motherhood of God. On page 16 of the Christian Science textbook, where Mrs. Eddy gives the spiritual sense of the Lord's Prayer, we read, "Our Father-Mother God, all-harmonious ." This angel message gave me a glimpse of the universal motherhood of God and healed me of sadness when my mother passed on.
