About four years ago I began studying Christian Science because I was greatly disturbed over inharmony existing between two members of my family. One of them had been ill for a number of years and had turned against the other. I had sought relief by living with a friend, and I tried to obtain happiness through attending various orthodox churches. Eventually I took a month's vacation in Bermuda, but I continued to have frequent attacks of nervous indigestion. I was always unhappy and could not seem to escape from my thoughts.
Christian Science was recommended to me in a most unexpected manner, and the first day I talked to a student of this religion I realized it was what I had been seeking. Immediately I felt a sense of freedom and a happiness I had never known existed, and I could at last understand how it was possible to learn to know God and not just have a blind faith in Him.
My eagerness to study was intense, and I am grateful to state has never waned. The nervous indigestion disappeared almost immediately and many undesirable traits left me, including a desire for social drinking.
