The all intelligent principle, God, naturally loves the beauty and perfection of His universe. Because of His intelligent appreciation of good, He must love the God likeness of man, and this relationship is indicated by the name Father-Mother, which is used as a synonym for God by Mary Baker Eddy. Our loving Father-Mother God is always ready to help us. He is omnipresent, and His love has the breadth, the strength, and the wisdom that we associate with the love of a father, the depth, the steadfast tenderness, that we find in mother-love. His great power is available to each one of us, everywhere, always.
In "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" we read (p. 494), "Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need." As a wise father and mother lovingly and understanding provide for their children, so God meets our every need and cares for us. Our primary need is for right ideas, and these, infinite Mind supplies to us as we responsively turn to Him in understanding prayer.
As men utilize right ideas, they overcome any sense of lack. Is there a lack of health? The right ideas, the counterfacts that come to us from Mind to correct mistaken thinking, can overcome disease with the abundant health that God gives His children. Is there a business need? Sound ideas are the foundation and standard of successful business, and as these ideas are accepted from Mind and acted upon they not only will remedy any faults in the business but will bring out a better utilization of present resources and open the way to new possibilities.
