O tender, all-embracing love of God,
that draws us as the needle to the pole,
we follow in the paths that Jesus trod
and learn that now man is complete and whole.
There is no point beyond the gravitation
that Godward draws the feet of wandering men
by ways they may not see, but God in wisdom
is there to bring them to their home again.
And then we know that we have never left Him,
that we have never wandered far and lone;
God is our Father; we are ever with Him,
and all He has He gives us for our own.
