From the September 1944 issue of The Christian Science Journal

It is with a deep sense of gratitude to God that I give the following testimony. About two years ago I suffered from a severe nervous breakdown. Help was given by a faithful and consecrated Christian Science practitioner, who was always ready to voice precious truths to me at any hour. I remained in bed part of the time, and dear friends cared for our two small children and assisted with household duties.

Within a short time I was completely healed of this inharmonious condition, and also of a great sense of hopelessness which accompanied it. I recall especially the helpful words of Hymn No. 58 in the Christian Science Hymnal,

In Thy Spirit living, moving,
We shall neither faint nor fall.
