VISION

From the September 1944 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Awake to Truth and let
the hour of light
Cast out old shadows with the dawning day;
Then in the joy
of hope irradiate,
Be vigilant and learn to watch and pray.

When threatening storm clouds
gather thoughts of fear,
Of hatred, sorrow, discontent, and strife,
With clear discernment
seek the way of Truth;
Put on the Christ and know eternal Life.

To see the universe of Love supreme,
Where understanding reigns,
is clearest sight;
Unclouded vision is man's heritage,
And he who walks therein
will walk in light.
