It is now many years since Christian Science brought to me that which I was seeking—a God whom I could intelligently worship. I have found in this Science the answer to all my questions. Today I am increasingly grateful to our Father-Mother God, who, in His infinite love, supplies all our needs.
In 1940 the exigencies of war made it necessary to terminate the business from which I drew my income and I was left with an income so small as to be almost negligible, since from time to time I had needed to reinvest money in the business. I am grateful to be able to say that I have never had any fear as to how I should live. During the preceding year the words of the twenty-third Psalm had been continually in my thought, and when it became necessary to take steps to close the business I was able to realize the truth of God's promise (Isa. 65:24), "Before they call, I will answer." Indeed, the answer has been most wonderful. I have been able to keep my home and have never really lacked anything.
With the understanding which Christian Science gives us that man has only one need—to understand God—material needs and wants are reduced to a minimum, and Love's supply flows in on every side. In "Miscellaneous Writings" I have found great inspiration and definite instruction from Mrs. Eddy's words on page 307, "Never ask for to-morrow: it is enough that divine Love is an ever-present help; and if you wait, never doubting, you will have all you need every moment." I have found this to be literally true, and the proving of it has destroyed the fear which, without our dear Leader's wonderful revelation, would have been overwhelming.
