The events accompanying my spiritual rebirth have been many and varied, and the healing efficacy of Christian Science has manifested itself abundantly in my experience. I am grateful to God for His beloved Son, Christ Jesus, the Wayshower. He is indeed the Way-shower to all who are willing to follow him. I am also grateful for Mrs. Eddy's perseverance in giving to the world her precious findings, so that all may partake of the blessings of Christian Science. Surely Godgiven wisdom inspired the provision of every activity for the furthering of this religion based upon divine Principle, Love. The Mother Church and its branches, the Lesson-Sermons, the periodicals, the teachers and practitioners, who are consecrated to the healing work, are helping to bring the kingdom of heaven here.
About five years ago I had a fall which resulted in bodily bruises and an injured arm. After working for myself I telephoned to a practitioner fifty miles away. In the afternoon I experienced three or four painful jerks—as if the arm were actually being manipulated and the bones set into place. In less than three days all was well and I could use the arm as before. This experience followed my first visit to The Mother Church, and the spiritual uplift gained there did not leave me throughout this ordeal. Following the healing, my joy and gratitude were greater than any I have ever known.
Another time my children and I were protected when our car turned over and was badly damaged. We were able to get out unharmed.
