I wish to express gratitude for the worth-while experiences that have been mine since I began trying to live up to my understanding of Christian Science.
After I had been in the Navy a while, I found myself in a position where I was not very useful. I was faithful in my study of Science, however, and found that I could carry the little service editions of the Bible and "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy with me in the truck I drove, and read and study them while waiting to pick up the mail in accordance with my duties. It was not long before the opportunity opened up for me to take competitive examinations for entrance into the Navy college training program.
Although I had been out of high school for several years and had to compete with college men more recently out of school, I came out near the top of the list. I was told to report to the college that I am now attending. I completed my fifth term, and while in the midst of my sixth received sufficient points for discharge. After becoming separated from the Navy, I returned here and resumed my work.
