For over twenty years, I have looked to Christian Science for healing or help for any disturbance, physical, mental, or moral, and have been healed and blessed and given the understanding to go on working out my problems.
During my first weeks of study I was healed, just by reading the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, of an ulcerated tooth, and, with practitioner's help, of mumps in three days. Constant colds in winter and recurring attacks of tonsillitis yielded completely to Christian Science treatment. Lack of supply and lack of employment have been overcome by the power of Truth, and so also has the suggestion of unhappiness at being alone in the world with no human family. This latter healing was accomplished through the growing understanding of my real family, God being Father-Mother, and my brothers and sisters, God's ideas. Nothing can surpass the satisfaction and confidence this has given me.
At one time I was doing a bit of ironing and found myself falling. Unable to catch myself, I called to someone who had just entered the room. I was picked up and placed in a chair. I could not stand or walk, or use any of one side of my body. A practitioner was called immediately, and in the morning I was taken to the home of a Christian Science nurse. With the continued work of the practitioner and the help of the nurse, in two days the whole body began to function again as before. In about two weeks, I was able to leave the nurse's home and a fellow member of our church opened her home to me. The healing continued, and in a few weeks I was able to travel by rail nearly across the continent to my association meeting.
