In the many years since I first became interested in Christian Science I have had numerous healings and helpful experiences. One of these healings I should like to tell about, since it illustrates the modus operandi of this Science.
A few years ago we bought a house and began to construct an apartment on the second floor. The work was almost completed when we realized we were about out of funds and still had a walk to construct from the side door around to the front. Not feeling we could afford one of concrete, I conceived the idea of making a flagstone walk, using broken pieces of concrete picked up from a vacant lot. This I proceeded to do one Saturday afternoon.
When the work was finished I was quite proud of myself and came in bragging to my wife about the good job I had done. Up to that time I had felt fine, but as soon as I told about the work and about lifting and carrying the heavy pieces of concrete, I immediately felt a severe pain in my back. I had placed myself under a material so-called law of unusual exercise.
