Christian Science has taught me the importance of reading the Bible through an inspired and spiritual sense of the Word. I have found that this Science not only illumines the Scriptures, but shows us how to apply the spiritual teachings found therein to our everyday problems. This religion has brought me numerous blessings.
Years ago I joined an orthodox church and was presented by the minister with a Bible. A reference from John (5:39) was written on the flyleaf, "Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life." These words meant very little to me until I became interested in Christian Science, when they became spiritually illumined and the Bible became an open book to me. I learned in searching the Scriptures, the Word of God, in the light of this Science, that I could prove practical the truths I found.
I have had many healings of false beliefs, such as headaches, backaches, sore throat, extreme self-consciousness, and a fear of heredity. I am very grateful for these healings, but more so for the peace and joy that have come to me through knowing that man is inseparable from his Father-Mother God.
