My heart is filled with gratitude for all the good that has come to me and mine through the study of Christian Science.
We were led to freedom from bondage at a time when our youngest daughter had a serious ear trouble. The doctor said an immediate operation was necessary. We had had a series of troubles, and after much sincere prayer I thought of Christian Science. Several years before this I had started to study Science but had not understood it sufficiently.
That night I suddenly found myself wanting to turn to the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, for help. I found an old Quarterly enclosed in the book, and the first Lesson-Sermon I turned to was just what I needed. It was entitled, "Are Sin, Disease, and Death Real?" As I studied the references in the Bible and in Science and Health, I experienced the most comforting calm and peace of mind, and my love and gratitude knew no bounds. I realized that our prayers had been answered.
