So varied have been the demonstrations of the efficacy of Christian Science in our home that I should like to relate a few of them.
Over two years ago I was prevailed upon by a stranger who lived in another city to transact a business deal which involved thousands of dollars. The remuneration for my services was to be quite a substantial sum, and since my husband had enlisted in the services of our country, it was to be a pleasantly anticipated addition to our income.
The deal was completed to the satisfaction of everyone concerned except that the fee for my work was not forthcoming, nor did I have any written statement or contract to act upon, since the entire agreement had been by telephone. When weeks had passed by, lengthening into months, and I learned from business acquaintances of the negligent party that there was little likelihood of my ever being paid, specific work was taken up in Christian Science. Almost at once a check for the full amount was sent to me by air mail, together with a very kind and friendly letter. This demonstration was made when I came to the clear realization that the one divine Mind governs all.
