Each day my heart is filled with a song of gratitude for the great gift of Christian Science and for the many blessings which have come to me as a result of its study.
In 1905, after several years of semi-invalidism, my father was told by medical authorities that he had an incurable heart condition, and as a last resort he turned to Christian Science. With the help of a practitioner he received a complete healing and was able to resume his work as editor of a country newspaper and spend more than twenty years in active, productive service.
About two years later, while I was living in a college dormitory, a painful growth developed on the ball of my right foot. For three months I tried various material remedies without success, and I suffered severe pain as a result of the condition. Finally upon the request of my mother I went to a neighboring city and called upon a practitioner, who gave me one treatment. The next morning when I examined my foot, there was no sign of the growth. The healing was instantaneous and permanent.
