ANNOUNCEMENT

WE are pleased to announce the election of Clayton Bion Craig, C. S. B., on October 6, to be a Director of The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts. Mr. Craig succeeds Mr. Charles E. Heitman, deceased, and has been nominated for the trusteeships heretofore occupied by Mr. Heitman. Mr. Craig has resigned as a member of The Christian Science Board of Lectureship.

Mr. Craig is a native of South Dakota, where he was educated in the public schools of Watertown and at the University of South Dakota, from which he holds the degree of B. A. He completed a year of graduate study at Harvard University in the field of economics, after which he attended Oxford University, at Oxford, England, as a Rhodes Scholar from South Dakota. He holds the degrees of B. A. and M. A. from Oxford University.

Mr. Craig's interest in Christian Science began through his experiencing its healing benefits. He was a charter member of Christian Science Organization at Oxford University when it was organized in 1927. Soon after being admitted to membership in The Mother Church he became a member of Seventh Church of Christ, Scientist, New York City. In 1930 he received Primary class instruction in Christian Science from an authorized teacher.
