I should like to express my deep gratitude for the healing of my little daughter of cholera infantum, after the doctors had declared that she was lost. Thanks to the devoted help of a Christian Science practitioner who aided me greatly and my study of Science, my little girl was healed. I constantly held the thought that God is Love, and that He was taking care of the child.

When Mary Baker Eddy discovered the Science of Christianity and found that the truths contained in the Bible could be demonstrated in healing and living, she knew great joy. Having explained in her textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," a way of life whereby man could live in peace, she thought that the world would accept it gladly; but, as in my own case, mortal mind accepts change slowly, and then in many cases only when the human sense of life becomes almost unbearable.
