Christian Science reveals the joyous truth that man, as the child of God, lives in the realm of perfect Mind. He rejoices in God-given freedom, dominion, completeness, and immortality.
Without the explanation which Christian Science offers that mankind is the victim of a material sense of existence, with its belief in the reality of evil, life remains an enigma. It is impossible to reconcile the truth of an omnipotent, good God with what is apparently perceived by material sense, which accepts the false belief that matter is part of real being.
In this age we are greatly blessed in having the revelation of Truth and reality given to us by Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science. This Science enables us to understand man's true being and shows us how to enjoy the abundant life promised by Christ Jesus. From it we learn of the entirely spiritual nature of man and the universe, and this knowledge destroys the fear of a temporal sense of existence and of eventual annihilation, for all that is spiritual is eternal and indestructible. It accepts the Biblical statement that "God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them."
