It is with a heart filled with gratitude that I express my thanks to God, the Giver of all good, and also to our revered Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for the blessings which my family and I have received through the study and application of Christian Science. We have had many healings in our home, some of physical difficulties and others of lack, unemployment, discordant human relationships, and various other forms of error.
I am grateful that I had the privilege of attending the Christian Science Sunday School and that my daughter is enjoying this privilege now. I also wish to express my gratitude for having been a guest at the Christian Science Benevolent Association Sanatorium at San Francisco on two different occasions. On one of my visits there I entered feeling very weak, as I was recuperating from a nervous breakdown; but after I had been there only two days, I could run up and down three flights of stairs without any discomfort.
At one time I worked in an office where a member of the staff seemed to dislike me greatly. This inharmonious situation caused me a great deal of distress and took about two years to work out in Christian Science; but with the aid of a practitioner, before I left my place of employment the one who had seemed to enjoy harassing me became most loving and kind. During the depression years I found myself the sole support of two members of my family and myself. All our needs were met during this experience, and I wish to express my gratitude to the loving practitioner who helped us at this trying time.
