The housing problem was acute
on that first Christmas Day
when Jesus' birth
proclaimed to earth
good will and peace to men.
Today the Christ seeks entrance
to hearts of all mankind.
Then open wide
your humble hearts
so Christ may come inside.
Where Christ is welcomed, joy abounds.
The peace of God is there,
since Christ brings love,
which will remove
all pain and sin and care.
Make room for Christ, the spirit
which purifies and heals;
for hearts thus filled
with holy light
reflect Love's healing might.
