It is with sincere gratitude for Christian Science and our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, that I wish to give thanks for the many blessings I have received.
Christian Science was recommended to my mother years ago by a friend, and through the help of a Christian Science practitioner she was completely restored to health. My mother then took up Christian Science, and I have had it all my life. Our family have had many proofs of its healing power. I should like to relate one of my own healings.
When I was twenty years of age, I was stricken with spinal meningitis and was moved to a hospital, because I was in an unconscious state and those with whom I was living were not Christian Scientists. I was given medical treatment, but I did not respond to it, and the doctors said there was no chance of my recovery. Then Christian Science treatment was given, and I recovered very rapidly. The nurses told me later that while I was semiconscious I repeated the Lord's Prayer many times. I cannot begin to express my gratitude for this healing and all the other healings I have had in Christian Science.
