I proved the truth of this statement some years ago when medical science failed to heal me of a severe nervous breakdown which had swept away my health, my professional career, my courage, and even my incentive to live. In desperate need I realized that my only hope lay in my radical reliance on the power of God, and then Christian Science, in answer to prayer, was brought to me.
The healing progressed slowly and was the result of faithful work in Christian Science on the part of the practitioner and a great deal of persistent study on my part. Gradually latent fears were conquered, and I eventually emerged with a fuller knowledge of the Bible and a deeper understanding of the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy.
