Because Christian Science has taught me the truth concerning God and His manifestation, man, and false beliefs have been corrected by right concepts of God and man, my human experience has grown smoother and brighter.
My first glimpse of Christian Science came as a result of curiosity. A friend whom I had not seen for eight years suddenly came into my life again. She had been my Sunday School teacher in an orthodox church and had been an inspiration to me because of her unselfed love and devotion. In the meantime she had become a student of Christian Science. Knowing nothing of this Science, I was disturbed and puzzled because she had left the church she had served so faithfully.
My friend told me that she had been completely healed of migrating neuritis through studying the textbook. Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. She lovingly related a few interpretations of the first and second chapters of Genesis as given in the textbook. Although these ideas were different from anything I had heard before, I recognized their logic. I accepted my friend's offer of a copy of Science and Health and began to read and study this book.
