"To those leaning on the sustaining infinite, to-day is big with blessings." Many years ago I learned that this opening statement of the Preface to Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy is demonstrable truth.
My first healing in Christian Science was of stones in the kidney, after four physicians had decided on a major operation as the only means of relief. When the illumination of the Christ flooded my consciousness and set me free in but a few hours from that which had brought suffering for years, I became convinced that I had found the truth that meets every human need. In later years I experienced healings of lumbago, pleurisy, and an aggravated type of asthmatic hay fever. Not all were overcome quickly, but remembering that Jesus said (John 5:17), "My Father worketh hitherto and I work," I was enabled through divine Love to work out these difficulties finally and completely.
Following my first experience in Christian Science, healing of the alcohol habit came to one in our home after so-called cures of various kinds had failed. The healing was instantaneous, and this dear one became a student of Science.
