Substance is nought
That we can cup
Within our hands,
Or lock up
In a vault,
Or buy, or sell.
Substance is Life,
And Truth, and Love,
Our Leader taught,
And our dear Master came
On earth to tell.
Thus we may give,
And grow rich through the giving;
Humbly receive, and know
It was God who gave.
Substance is Mind,
Bestowing boundless treasure
Through Christ-ideas,
Which come to us
To heal, to save.
