The healing power of the angel messages that come to us through the Christian Science literature is to me evidence of the omnipresence of Truth and of Truth's perfect idea, man, and of the fact which our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, states in Science and Health (p. 494), "Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need."
I first became aware of this fact at the birth of our youngest child. The subject of the Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly for that week was "God the Only Cause and Creator," and it was a wonderful climax to my study during the previous months. The birth was most harmonious, and although I had the baby at home, my husband did not know what had taken place until he was presented with a little daughter in the morning. Having had medical help for the other children, I can never express the wonder of this experience.
I shall always be very grateful for the literature which reached us safely during the Second World War. At times of great crisis, our God-inspired Lesson-Sermons repeatedly brought a specific message. When our boy in the Royal Air Force was reported missing, in great distress I took up the Journal which had just arrived. I opened it at random, and there before me was an article entitled "Not Missing in Mind." I read and reread this God-sent message, which brought great comfort and the conviction that, dwelling in Mind, man can never for one moment be separated from the presence and love of his Father-Mother God. Turning to the next article, I found it entitled "Blessed Mourners." Divine Love had, indeed, again met my need.
