Christian Science has helped me for nearly thirty years. Although I have had many healings, my greatest gratitude is for an understanding of God and of man's relationship to Him. Many complaints have faded out before the understanding and application of this Science. Also when I have had to make important decisions Christian Science has shown me the way.
A recent experience proved that there is only one Mind and that under the government of this Mind there is perfect coordination and co-operation, It seemed right for us to move from a large house which we occupied and which was under lease to us for two more years. The landlord would accept the surrender of the lease only upon certain conditions: we must be out of the house by a given date and in addition pay for certain dilapidations and legal fees. Knowing that a God of justice was governing, I was not dismayed. Eventually we were informed by the landlord's solicitors that they would not press for dilapidations or insist on legal fees.
I had tried to see the real meaning of home and to know that man can never for an instant be out of his true home, because his dwelling place is in Mind. But to find somewhere to live at a price we could pay looked like an impossibility because of the acute shortage of unfurnished flats in London.
