The Bible's pervading theme is the allness of God, the fact that there is none beside Him. Jeremiah states it thus (23: 24): "Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the Lord." Christian Scientists accept the omnipresence of God. They realize that it is impossible to be away from infinite Love, to exist outside the allness of Mind, or to live beyond the omnipresence of God.
Paul surely knew man's dwelling place to be God when he stated (Acts 17:28), "In him we live, and move, and have our being." Starting our reasoning from this fundamental divine basis, we understand that man, the image and likeness of God, the divine idea of infinite Mind, eternally dwells within the infinitude of the one and only Mind, termed God. We therefore need not fear change or dread when moving to a new place, nor need we think of staying where we are in terms of drabness and monotony. For whatever our geographical location may be north, south, east, or west God, Love, our Father-Mother, is there to care for us and to guide and protect us at all times.
Christian Science teaches that it is not where we live, but how we live, that determines our happiness, satisfaction, and success. Our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, also iterates and reiterates one theme the allness of God. Allness precludes the possibility of any other presence. To understand that there is one creator, divine Mind, and one creation, the manifestation or expression of that Mind, unfolds the fact that Mind's infinite ideas cannot be localized or circumscribed humanly. Our work is to learn more about God and His entirely good creation, right here and right now. Our beloved Leader teaches. "When we learn the way in Christian Science and recognize man's spiritual being, we shall behold and understand God's creation,—all the glories of earth and heaven and man" (Science and Health, p. 264). Surely this glorious creation of perfect Mind is ever present—forever here because of the allness and oneness of all-inclusive, infinite good, or God.
